Winter Break

Winter break has officially started. Our school board was very generous and gave us a nice bonus to start the holiday with also. It will come in handy.

My winter break plans start with a visit from the parents. They will be here for the weekend. Nothing special is planned (not a good thing) so I guess shopping will be in order to keep them busy. A couple of Dr. Appointments, possibly a trip to Hot Springs, AK, and New Years Eve with friends at the Stars game and then back to school. Actually, I go back to work on Jan. 5 because college won't start until January 20.

I'm kind of nervous about going to college again. I know I just finished a course, but that was at a Jr. College. This is my 4th college to go to and I'm still scared & nervous about going. Funny thing is, I actually don't go anywhere, I stay home and take the classes on-line.

When I last was in school, I was feeding cards into a card reader and learning to punch the cards. I think we had CRT's & CPU's. I'm in the process of looking at a iMac, monitor and brains all in one sleek monitor. You think some time has gone by? I carry an iPhone, which is another form of a computer & it has the ability to call people! Isn't technology great! I love it. I'm hoping that if I do get thru this time, I'll be able to teach the kiddo's about technology and they can create even grander designs.
