Wow, it's already past mid-August! I don't know where the month has gone, but it's going. School starts soon and that will make the rest of the year fly by.So far this month, I made a card for my long-time friend Ellie to give to another friend from years past who is big with the SPCA and Humane Society, it will be her 50th birthday. The strip is "hinged" at the top and opens downward. It's cute but I think I could have done better. The stamps are by SU.
DS also did some amazing grilling for us the last 2 weeks. He wanted to thank his racing buds for their help so he decided we needed to have a party at our house. He shopped, grilled and socialized like an adult! His little dinner that started with 7-9 of us, turned into a dinner party of 20! and not only did he do this one time but a week later we fed another 8 friends. It all went smoothly and I have confidence he can plan a party without my help (not what a mom wants to admit about her 19 year old).
Speaking of racing... here is a card I made for our track Announcer on his birthday. The cake is from Viola by SU, the truck is Loads of Love, also SU and the BG is a SU wheel (can't remember the name). I added some sparkle to the candle and used washable crayons to color the truck, which by the way is the color of HB's - the track announcers. And finally, to catch up my postings, here is my first challenge entries... it was a view-master wheel and while it's simple, I think it's pretty cute.
